I work with businesses and nonprofits to anticipate challenges before they become problems. My practice includes developing practical and protective contracts, advising on employment and HR matters, and creating policies and internal practices that help organizations run smoothly and stand up under pressure. I also support clients across a broad range of legal needs that arise as they scale and evolve.
My approach is grounded in a simple principle: legal guidance should help organizations move forward, not slow them down.
Seeing Risk from Every Angle
My perspective is shaped by nearly 30 years of experience from both sides of the table.
I began my career in private practice at two large law firms, representing mid-sized companies and Fortune 500 clients in high-stakes contract disputes, employment litigation, and intellectual property matters. During this time, I developed a deep understanding of how legal and operational risks escalate and what it takes to resolve them when they do.
After 13 years in litigation, I transitioned into the nonprofit sector, serving as In-House Counsel and Vice President of Operations for a rapidly growing national organization. In that role, I built legal infrastructure from the ground up and advised executive leadership and the board on governance, compliance, risk management, and employment matters. I also led operational scaling efforts, helping the organization double in size while strengthening its internal systems, workflows, and personnel functions.
That combination of litigation experience and in-house operational leadership informs how I advise clients today: practically, proactively, and with a clear understanding of how legal decisions impact the broader organization.

I often serve as outside general counsel for businesses, which gives them access to highly experienced legal counsel without the need for an in-house legal team on the payroll.

I am a lifelong resident of the Philadelphia area. I hold a J.D. cum laude from Temple University Beasley School of Law and a B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. I have been recognized multiple times as a Super Lawyer by Philadelphia Magazine.
I serve on the Board of Directors of the Greater BucksMont Chamber of Commerce and remain actively engaged in my local business community. I am licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
